Source: Blog tour through A Tale of Many Reviews
When tragedy strikes, seventeen year-old Ashton Blake sets out on a cross-country road trip, leaving the comforts of Malibu for the mountains of Kentucky. Along the way, she encounters Gabe Willoughby—the mysterious drifter with eyes like the sea and a knowing smile. Getting to know Gabe raises questions about her past. But no secret can be buried forever, and Ashton soon finders herself in a world where water is air and myth becomes reality.

My thoughts:
I tend to
shy away from books if I can predict the outcome. Now, I could predict a few
things but seriously, I was kept guessing throughout the whole novel because there
was so many black and grey moments! I was either kept in the dark or given
vital information important to Ashton’s journey! I think this was a great aspect to the novel because it kept myself, the reader guessing which in turn made me flip the pages! Readers will discover what happened to Ashton's mother and what her own destiny holds. There was a nice blend of mystery, romance and danger, as well as inner struggles that each character had to face. It kept the plot line intriguing!
I truly enjoyed this book and all the myths and legends that were woven within this story! I urge you to read this novel if you have a chance! To find out if Ashton confronts her destiny and bring two worlds together or run from her duty for love you'll have to keep an eye out for this book or enter the giveaway!
4/5 royal treaties!
